The Defect Dashboard is where you can view all current and historical Defects in Prestartr.

From the dashboard you can import or export Defect records, create new Defects, as well as edit or delete Defects as needed.

The Defect Dashboard Explained
There are three major areas of the dashboard:
- Sidebar Navigation- this is where Options, and the Defect list are located.
- Header- this is where you can Import or Export Defects, Create Work Order, view Audit Logs, and the New Defect button is located.
- Filter list - this is where your Defect filters are displayed.

DefectsDisplays all available Defects within the system. Defect OptionsAdditional settings and configurations for Defect management. This is covered in the section below - Options. |
Navigation Items

Import / ExportUpload or download Defects for external use or record keeping. You will have the following options:
Import Samples The Import/Export menu lists Sample Files for each Import and Export Option.
Contact Prestartr Support for assistance with importing via Sample files as needed. Create Work OrderCreate a new Work Order from selected Defects. When creating a Work Order this way, the selected Defects must be linked to the same Entity type - People, Plant, or Companies. New DefectCreate a new Defect by hand, selecting the appropriate information as needed. See Add a new Defect for details. Audit LogsThe Audit Log area is where you can search the records of when a Defect was created, when it was updated, or when it was deleted by a User. You can search and sort these logs by date, type, and specific user. ![]() Favorites![]() Create and manage different sets of columns for your Defect lists.
You can create multiple views, as well as pin these views.
When creating a Favorite, it can be created only for yourself, or be made available to all users. Column Selector![]() Sort and select which columns are visible. This is where you can save a view and then access it via the manager. |

The Defect list will display all defect records that have been created. The columns of the forms list is changeable - if your Defect list doesn't look the same as the example, check the Column Selector in the upper right corner of the header.
Sorting of the columns is done by clicking on the arrow next to the column name. This will alternate between sorting Ascending and Descending sorts.
To Edit a Defect, Click the Pencil icon on the far right, to Delete a Defect, Click the Rubbish icon instead. |

The Defect Options area will display all defect statuses that have been created. You can edit these statuses by Clicking the Pencil Icon. You can delete these statuses by Clicking the X icon. |
